The Library is a welcoming and inclusive space for all students across all years. Students can access technology and a dedicated Teacher Librarian and Library Assistant to help them complete research activities or to find a book that suits personal interest.
Developing our book collection
The book collection is mainly student driven. This means that most of the new books we get are recommended by students for students. The teacher librarian also works closely with staff to provide print and digital resources to support the completion of classwork and assessment tasks.
What's in our collection?
Our collection includes;
General fiction organised into genres.
Rapid fiction which are shorter in length or/ and are easier reads across all age groups.
Manga series
Fiction and non fiction graphic novels, comics and picture books
Senior reference collection containing study guides and texts to support HSC students.
Library refurbishment
The library has had a recent refurbishment that has resulted in updated shelving and relaxing reading and recreational sitting areas. We work hard to improve the collection and are always interested in any ideas that promote student engagement with reading and learning.
