Year 7 student Montana Walker competed this week at the State Swimming Championships at Homebush in Sydney. She qualified for the Girls 12-15 Years Multidisability 50m Freestyle after competing at the North Coast Swimming Championships earlier in the term.
This is such a magnificent achievement for a student who has just started high school this year. Montana did herself and the school extremely proud when she placed 6th in the event. She had to compete against girls up to the age of 15 years old and the competitors came from all parts of NSW. So for someone who is only 12 this is even more so remarkable.
Congratulations Montana on such a wonderful achievement. We look forward to seeing what you can achieve in the future not only in swimming but also other sporting activities.
